SINN Fein looked to have polled strongly in West Tyrone and indications are that they will get their three candidates over the line.

Barry McElduff and Michaela Boyle appear to have reached the quota, which is close to 7,500, while Declan McAleer also looks set to hold his seat.

Tom Buchanan of the DUP has also polled strongly and will be elected while Daniel McCrossan of the SDLP should be feeling confident.

If that is the line up come close of play, West Tyrone will have only one Unionist MLA.

A rumour swept the Omagh count centre in the last 20 minutes that a recount had been called for Fermanagh South Tyrone but that appears to have been just that – a rumour.

Arlene Foster appears to have topped the poll in her Fermanagh South Tyrone constituency.
